Okay… now that I have your attention…
If the last few weeks have felt emotionally exhausting, you’re certainly not alone.
Mercury Retrograde began on June 29, 2026, beginning in Leo before moving back into Cancer on July 18, where it remained until stationing direct on July 23.
In astrology, Mercury governs communication, thinking, learning, travel, contracts, technology, and how we exchange information. During a Mercury retrograde, many people associate the period with misunderstandings, delayed plans, crossed wires, travel hiccups, technology glitches, and old conversations finding their way back into our lives.
This retrograde felt especially personal once Mercury moved back into Cancer.
Cancer is the zodiac sign of home, family, emotions, memories, nurturing, and emotional security. Rather than focusing on surface-level communication, this transit encouraged many of us to revisit the conversations we had been avoiding, the emotions we had buried, and the relationships that still needed attention.

On that same day, the Sun enters Leo, beginning one of the brightest, boldest, and most joyful seasons of the astrological year.
Leo is ruled by the Sun and is associated with confidence, creativity, generosity, courage, romance, leadership, and authentic self-expression. If Cancer season asked us to look inward, Leo season encourages us to step back into the light.
